Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Dental Nurse/Practice Manager to join our dynamic team. We offer a Permanent position - 1 x Full-Time or 2 x Part-Time (job share) position - 38 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8.15am to 5.15pm, Tuesday 8.15am to 6.30pm & Friday 8.15 to 1pm With a starting salary of £35,000. 

This unique role combines assisting clinicians with clinical responsibilities along with practice management duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the delivery of outstanding patient care. You must live within a reliable commuting distance of the practice or relocate before starting the position.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist clinicians (Dentists and Hygienists) during dental procedures

  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols

  • Perform administrative tasks related to patient records and scheduling

  • Handle patient enquiries and manage appointments

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a dental setting

Practice Management Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the dental practice

  • Manage staff schedules, training, and development

  • Ensure the practice meets regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Monitor and manage inventory and supplies

  • Implement and maintain efficient office systems and processes

  • Recruitment, onboarding and people management of practice staff, including identifying staff development and training needs

  • Attending and chairing practice meetings

  • Any other duties as necessary for the efficient running of the practice

Requirements:

  • GDC qualified Dental Nurse with relevant qualifications is essential

  • Previous experience in dental practice management is preferred
